Hey there internet traveller!👋 I'm Alfred, I am a software engineer (I make computers do stuff 🤣) and a final-year student at Babcock University, Nigeria
I'm a part of the University's Developers Team (BUCC) and together we have built some exciting softwares for the school some examples of recent ones are the revamp of the SIWES application, the rebuild of the STE platform and the development of BUCARE a little something for e-therapy.
I am also volunteering 💪🏽 at Google Developer Student's club (GDSC) as the lead for web development.
I am currently journeying into the world of Machine Learning & Data Science and I just built an ML project check it out HERE
I Love 🥰 JavaScript, Python and ofcourse MongoDB😅, I am also an Angular fanboy
If I'm not coding I enjoy a good book, playing Basketball or Badminton!

    Building a highly sophisticated B2B real-estate platform, some of the contributions I have made to the team are:

    * Built a web based map for visualizing over 1 million+ housing information across the UK, increasing customer engagement as a result.

    * Reduced map load time by 50% by redesigning backend APIs and map rendering algorithms.

    * Designed a robust search engine, allowing customers to search by generic location names or jump right into specific postal sectors, or house property or LHA rates

    * Increased fault tolerance by designing effective error handling functions, verified through extensive stress testing done by the team.

    * Built automation scripts to perform all manual file conversion and processing with my pandas and data scraping techniques for the team saving 100s of hours in manual work

    * Actively participated in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, providing new ideas and solutions to challenges faced.

    * Together with the software department of the University, I built the front-end of the University's Student-Teacher Evaluation system, that sees over 6000 students using the system at least twice a year.

    * I worked with powerful tools such as Angular, Bootstrap and Material design principles to achieve a responsive and user-friendly UI.

    * Working together with my team we built a platform for that manages all SIWES operations of the University

    * Using Node.js I built secure and efficient back-end APIs for the entire system, this services are used by over 700 students annually

    * I spearheaded the development of a web application that allows students seek and receive academic and non-academic counselling.

    * I design efficient algorithms to ensure a secure environment for confidential records of the students.

    * I work on the front-end and back-end of the application, building instant web messaging and integrating video & voice conferencing

    * I worked on improving the organization's website SEO score

    * I built 3 mortgage calculators for the website, that efficiently estimates the mortgage to be paid

    * I also received a 5-star rating for the satisfactory job done.
